In 2017, Joe Huchko shared an idea with his friend Dave DeSantis. Joe had a close friend who was a full-time firefighter in a northern New Jersey firehouse. That firefighter often complained to Joe (who was in the branded merchandise business) about how frustrating it was to order just a few branded items with the Firehouse logo. The process, he said, was stuck in the past.

To place an order, the firehouse had to compile a group order to meet minimum quantity requirements for various items. A designated firehouse representative would gather size information from all firefighters, collect payments, and then take the order to the screenprinter. Unfortunately, items were often out of stock, which meant the entire process had to start over—repeating the collection, ordering, and notification steps.
This entire process was painfully slow and cumbersome, often taking from one to several months to complete.

Joe and Dave collaborated to find a better way. After four iterations and plenty of brainstorming, they, along with new partner Roger Nichols, developed a cutting-edge web platform that leverages modern technology to revolutionize company stores.
